There’s a reason that so many properties feature wood as a prime material. It’s beautiful, durable, and (with a little bit of professional attention) it’s built to last. Pressure Washing Services is proud to offer wood restoration and refinishing services for projects big and small.
Our Focus Areas
Every property has different needs, and our restoration services are adjusted to meet those nuances. Some of the most common projects we attend to are:
- Log Cabins
- Cedar-sided homes
- Hemlock, pine and Board & Batten construction
- Lawn furniture
- Swing sets
The Pressure Washing Services team applies the same basic process to each worksite, with tailored detergents that will best meet the needs of the wood type we’re working with.
Step One: Evaluation
Next, we work with the homeowner to select a test area. This space allows us to evaluate the wood’s response to our cleaning, stripping, and brightening processes. We count on this step to help us select the best stripping agent, brightening agent, stain, and sealer for your project. During this step, we also measure the pre-project moisture content of the wood.
Step Two: Cleaning, Stripping and Brightening
By neutralizing the stripping agent, we ensure that the finish will take to the wood seamlessly. This also prepares the wood surface for brightening and pre-staining prep. During this step, you’ll notice that the wood continues to brighten over the next few days as it continues to dry.
Step Three: Staining and Sealing
Our stain / sealer of choices are Oil Based. Our products are oil based penetrating oil sealers that is available in many different shades, making it a versatile solution for a range of products. ReadySeal or Armstrong Clark stains provide the complete package for you wood protection. It is a combination stain and sealer product that protects your deck from the harsh northeast environment and the never-ending damage that occurs from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
The ReadySeal or Armstrong Clark deck stains provides efficient and cost effective maintenance of your deck or siding. With these great products, there’s no need to strip existing applications when applying maintenance coats. The fresh coating blends in with your last coating perfectly, providing added protection and requiring less stain for the maintenance coat.
